During the month of December TIGHAR relocated from the bursting-at-the-seams house in suburban Wilmington, Delaware that served as the organization’s headquarters for the past 21 years.
TIGHAR’s new home is an eleven-acre property in nearby southeastern Pennsylvania. A large historic house and a giant barn, part of which is already framed and insulated for office space, will give TIGHAR the long-needed ability to realize the organization’s full potential.

Immediate benefits will include lower overhead and more efficient operations but the greater advantage is having the space to create The TIGHAR Center for Aviation History – offices for additional staff, an artifact analysis laboratory, classroom and conference space, video production suite – the possibilities are limited only by our imagination and our will to realize them. This is a huge step forward for TIGHAR and something we’ve been working toward for many years.
