Members are the lifeblood of any organization and that’s especially true of TIGHAR. Not only does a strong membership provide a sound financial base, but member participation in research projects, training programs, and expeditions is essential to the accomplishment of TIGHAR’s mission. Memberships are available at a variety of levels to accommodate everyone’s time and interest.

A New Category of Membership in TIGHAR
“TIGHAR Researcher”
 The new TIGHAR Researcher category of membership allows us to distribute, free of charge, research materials that are not otherwise available, such as DVDs of the Discovery Channel “Finding Amelia” documentary. Other examples of materials that are of value to researchers but are not generally available to the public are:
- the NBC News Productions documentary about TIGHAR’s 1991 expedition.
- the ABC News documentary about TIGHAR’s storm-tossed 1997 expedition.
- “Flight For Freedom,” the 1943 Hollywood film which was largely responsible for the speculation that Earhart was on a secret spy mission.
- out-takes from 1937 newsreels that show details of Earhart’s Electra and her preparations for the world flight.
- July 8, 1937 “March of Time” radio broadcast dramatizing the search for Earhart.
- digital copies of scientific/forensic reports on artifacts and faunal materials, including DNA analysis.
 These and other hard-to-get materials will be provided to TIGHAR Researchers at no additional cost as they become available. The materials may not be copied or distributed.

The annual membership fee for the new TIGHAR Researcher category is $125. If you wish to join TIGHAR as a TIGHAR Researcher, click HERE.
If you’re already a TIGHAR member at the $45 Student/Senior, $55 Associate, or $100 Sponsor level and you wish to upgrade to TIGHAR Researcher you can simply pay your membership renewal early. You’ll keep your same renewal date but we’ll send your DVD of the “Finding Amelia” documentary immediately. Click HERE.
If your TIGHAR membership is above the $100 Sponsor level we’ll automatically include you as a TIGHAR Researcher and send your DVD.
