On August 21, 1945, George Putnam received an unsigned telegram that read, "Camp liberated; all well. Volumes to tell. Love to mother." The complete story of the enigmatic telegram and the final resolution of its meaning is told in Ron Bright's report. The telegram was not from Amelia but from a man whose mother Putnam was caring for.
