  • Celebrated in Time Magazine for having "complete charge" of the Fiji School of Medicine since 1939.
  • The Civil Lists for 1942 show that he, Sir Harry, and Hoodless sat on the same Legislative committee. They must have had many opportunities for unrecorded conversations about the bones.
