Banned from the forum--some kind of bug?

From time to time, people get banned from the forum by the software.

Neither Pat nor I have banned anybody.

I believe that the problem arises when people try to access the Forum before receiving and replying to the confirmation e-mail from the News section, which is the first essential step in joining the Forum.

If you find yourself mysteriously locked out, let us know.

Sorry for the problems.  If we ever do ban anyone, we'll try to make it clear why.
