Special website for the Symposium.  Update 15 April: program complete.

Help wanted: Please circulate attached .pdf to anyone who might be interested in attending the Conference.  Thanks!

June 1st of his year will be the 75th anniversary of Amelia Earhart's departure from the U.S. on her ill-fated world flight. On June 1, 2, & 3 (Fri., Sat., Sun.) TIGHAR will host Earhart Search 75, a three-day conference/symposium to explain, discuss and debate what has been learned in three-quarters of a century of efforts to discover the fate of America's favorite missing person. Researchers, scientists, historians, archaeologists, and forensic experts will present their findings on a wide range of topics in support of a variety of theories. The Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum's Senior Curator of Aeronautics, Dr. Tom D. Crouch will be our keynote speaker. The conference will be held at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, VA - just across the Potomac from Washington, DC.  Terrific convention facility, terrific location, close to Washington National Airport, easily accessible by car and Metro.

Details of the program, the presenters, and the pricing are available on the dedicated website for the Symposium. We are ready to start accepting registrations.

Maybe.  Too early to say for sure.

I would love to be able to purchase a copy, if available, since I cannot get to the symposium (from Hawaii, too $$). But I SO wanted to be there! The work y'all are doing is fabulous and I am following each new bit of information avidly. Keep it up! (I will become a member very soon)

What would be an interesting idea would be a live webcast of the event for those of us that cannot make it. A reasonable fee could be charged to cover the costs.

If I did the Lotto and won it i'd be there.  Unfortunatly you have to be in it to win it and i'd rather put my £ to better use.  So I can't be there but at the right price would love the chance to buy a DVD of the main event.

Poll time for forum memebrs! Would you buy a DVD of the key points?

Chris. I would buy a DVD and I plan to attend!  I also think the video feed would be excellent. My son attended a gaming convention in California one year. It wasn't cheap. The last two years he has bought the video feed. Even he says it was just as good and way, way cheaper.  It would be an excellent way for many members to attend. However it does reduce the attendance and that hurts.
Respectfully Submitted;

Yes. We'll have those details on the website soon.

All right, people, we all know we can talk the talk - in here.

Now it's time to do a little walkin'. I'm signed up for a jaunt to DC the first weekend in June for some serious Amelia and Fred discussin'. Who's with me?

several of us have verbally committed---but it would be nice to have some details. There is supposed to be some breaking news coming out ahead of the symposium.
