In December of 2025, Ric discussed his interview with the Facts Verse video podcast series:

"Top Amelia Earhart Researcher Richard Gillespie Reveals What REALLY  Happened to Her Plane"

Ric wrote. "An earlier Facts Verse video about Earhart was an error-strewn screed about the Taraia Object that implied TIGHAR endorses the idea that the object is the wreckage of the Electra. When they first approached Ric for an interview he turned them down. 'Your stuff is pure click-bait. Not interested.' The owner replied that he had recently acquired the channel and wanted to 'improve the brand.'"

Ric negotiated with Facts Verse, which gave him the opportunity to explain the Niku Hypothesis in great detail.


The original interview has been reappearing in shorter excerpts since then.
