Sunken American WWII torpedo bomber discovered in Pacific
« on: May 25, 2016, 11:31:53 AM »

Interesting article. This airplane is just a little newer than Amelia's. Condition should be similar.

Has TIGHAR been in contact with Project RECOVER? They might be willing to divert from their stated goals on one of their expeditions.

Edit: attempting to fix link. MXM

I'm in touch with one of the directors of the project.  We're discussing ways we can help each other.

It's good to see non-profits helping each other out, with their various knowledge bases, and like TIGHAR just did for the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome.

To be clear, TIGHAR did not help the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome.  We wanted to but we were not able to.

OK. I just assumed that any money that was raised for that weekend was sent on. If none was raised, well ... times are still tough and a trip to Rhinebeck would be a luxury for many people.

Your assumption is correct.  Had any money been raised we would have sent it on.
