Is TIGHAR dead in the water?
You seem to be judging TIGHAR solely by activity on this Forum. The Forum is a power-house research tool that we call on as the need arises. In August, research by Forum members caused us to change the post-loss radio messages reported by Nina Paxton from "credible" to " not credible." Last month the Forum produced information that eliminated the missing French sailor as the castaway whose remains were found on Gardner Island. If we haven't needed to call on the Forum in the last couple weeks it does not mean that TIGHAR is "dead in the water."
This year, so far, we have published four full-size issues of TIGHAR Tracks containing five major research papers - more than in any year since the organization's founding. We're currently working on another issue of Tracks to be published in late November or early December.
Website Inaction? Earlier this week we added The Glenn Miller Project to the TIGHAR website. On the day you posted this question, 830 people visited the TIGHAR website. 300 people have visited the website so far today, and it's 9:30 in the morning.
TIGHAR's Facebook page now has over 8,800 followers. The last two postings have, so far, reached 5,523 and 3,235 respectively.
We've just launched a campaign to raise $25,000 for a Glenn Miller Project research expedition to England in December. Please go to
