Wednesday, July 14, 1937.   At 3 pm we hove into sight of Tamana Island, not quite as large as Arorai. The native Tamana party came aboard much the same as the Arorai’s before. Their English spokesman was more proficient.
    I took a couple of pictures of the official party talking with Itasca officers and also a picture of a group of the natives.”
