Examples of why we search

Just saw this about a WWII Kittyhawk fighter found in the Sahara and for me it is one example of why we search - whether Earhart or otherwise.

Here is a link to the Vintage Wings of Canada site that has very interesting and detailed coverage.

Maybe others have some favorite examples they'd like to put up here, or offer some of their own reasons as to why a search for historic aviation relics and truths are important to you.

There is already a thread devoted to the P40 Kittyhawk found in the desert.   :)
