I think you are probably right about it being video that we have not seen on the Forum. But, I feel sure that they were looking at the entire video, so maybe or maybe not!

Ric

Is the kind of person that if he thought any of the rov stuff we have speculated about was the electra wreckage he would put himself in firing line of all the naysayers

Which lead's me to think that there is more obvious components in rest of video footage or they are just trying to identify were rov was at givin time based on sonar data

also u have to remember the outer reef edge is a dangerous place to be so the captain needs to be updated or made aware  of possible dangers  :)

Lack of news of any activities, developments, progress is a real "buzz-kill", especially with the build-up and anticipation.

Thomas

If you haven't been to the daily reports, you should go to

http://tighar.org/Projects/Earhart/Niku7/niku7dailies2.html#n708

Unfortunately, these expeditions don't happen like Indiana Jones movies, all action - all the time with some romance thrown in.

They tend to be a methodical process of discovery, trial and error, adaptation, and long hours of sometimes mind numbing work.  The dailies give us only a few snapshots of what's going on, and we get that only once a day, so everything seems like it is in slow motion.

All that will be wiped away if they find what they are looking for, but we have to give them the time to do their jobs and work the search plan.

Thank you, Andrew. Good comments, and thanks for the link. The excitement over the date of the arrival and the thirst for info just spilled over a bit especially when I could not find the appropriate link for at least some info. Thanks, again.

Although not written specifically about Amelia Earhart every time I listen to this track I can't help thinking it fits. Anyhow, here are the words and a link to the number. The video is dull, there is a better one on youtube but, it has some, how shall we say, naughty scenes near the end and, I don't want to offend the lady forum members.
I got your letter.
Thanks a lot.
I've been getting lots of sun.
And lots of rest.
It's really hot.
Days, I dive by the wreck.
Nights, I swim in the blue lagoon.
Always used to wonder who I'd bring to a desert island.
Days, I remember cities.
Nights, I dream about a perfect place.
Days, I dive by the wreck.
Nights, I swim in the blue lagoon.
Full fathom five thy father lies.
Of his bones are coral made.
Those are pearls that were his eyes.
Nothing of him that doth fade.
But that suffers a sea change.
Into something rich and strange.
And I alone am left to tell the tale.
Call me Ishmael.
I got your letter.
Thanks a lot.
I've been getting lots of sun.
And lots of rest.
It's really hot.
Always used to wonder who I'd bring to a desert island.
Days, I remember rooms.
Nights, I swim in the blue lagoon.
I saw a plane today.
Flying low over the island.
But my mind was somewhere else.
And if you ever get this letter.
Thinking of you.
Love and kisses.
Blue Pacific.
Signing off.
