I have looked but can't find any information on what might have been determined on the possible aircraft debris in this picture. My question is on what appears to me to be a wing rib. Just to the right of the top of the red circle. The shape seems very close to a Clark Y airfoil.

I've never seen this photo before, but I'm more curious about what I've circled in yellow - to me this looks far more mechanical than organic (like from a crankshaft - do airplanes have crankshafts?)

What is the source for this pic?

Denise, In what you circled is the part I am asking about. It looks like a wing rib as I described. It's to the upper right in the yellow circle

The picture came from an old story:

I tried to enlarge the area in question.

I was going through Tighar forum this afternoon and saw Mike Spishock photo and got a little closer and saw something. Right above the circled area of interest is what appears to be an oval
nameplate or tag. If anyone can see this would be interesting to find out what it belongs too.

Sorry Randy, that's a fish.  Eye on the lefthand side, gills a little further down.  A variety of wrasse would be my guess.
