The March/April issue of Archaeology magazine arrived yesterday, and their World Roundup contains a brief note about 2-2-V-1. It mentions the patch theory and that more investigation is planned.

Coincidentally, there is also an article about unexploded ordinance in the Marshall Islands by the chief archaeologist with the Marshall Islands Historic Preservation Office.
