I found this rather interesting, a study by a University of Kent (UK) professor, who discovered that conspiracy theorists aren't put off by contradictory theories; heck, they even embrace them as part of their conspiracy worldview: http://www.livescience.com/18171-contradicting-conspiracy-theories-mistrust.html

Yes, it is self-evident that whoever opposes them is part of the conspiracy to silence them!   ::)
