How to translate old links from Ameliapedia to work with current version

On our previous server, we had root access and could easily create pretty URLs for the Forum and for the Ameliapedia.

There ought to be a solution using .htaccess, but I have not found it yet.

AND I have to be very careful not to interfere with WordPress, which is being used for the user interface these days.

For the moment, the URL to access the home page of the Ameliapedia is https://tighar.org/wiki.


When I was able to use an Apache alias for the wiki, this form of URL worked:

      https://tighar.org/wiki/Amelia_Earhart

Now it does not work. The ugly URL for that page is now:

     https://tighar.org/wiki/index.php?title=Amelia_Earhart

No joy yet. I have failed at everything I have tried so far.

Meanwhile, there are two new links on every page in the Forum, toward the upper-right corner, one for "TIGHAR home" and the other for the home page of "Ameliapedia." They are right next to the links for unread messages and updated topics.
