Title: Help requested: Can you identify these airplane wheels?

We've received a request for help in identifying some airplane wheels used in the construction of a custom car.   The caption in the first photo seems to say that the car was constructed in 1934.

Wow- Nasty, heavy looking things those are! But also quite unique construction. The right person will undoubtably pop up with the answer.

The wheels look like they have been media blasted and are heavily pitted.  My impression is that these are steel and would be too heavy for an aircraft application.

The car pictured is the 1935 Harris fwd Speedster.

The wheels are actually quite light weight, 6lbs.
They are 12 inch diameter rims.
Yes, they are in rough shape, but original.

We read, in one of the known  22 national magazine articles, that the front wheels were form an early airplane.

We do hope that someone has wheels like these >>> or knows someone that does.

This Futuristic car in time is being renovated at this time and has to be to a Invitational standard.
