I saw the last public flight of the SR-71 at the Farnborough Air Show in 1992.

Wow, how cool that must've been to see the SR-71 at Farnborough!  Did you get to see it fly?  That would have been amazing.  The closest I ever got was at the Cosmosphere in Hutchinson, KS.

They did a full power take off, holding it with the brakes and then releasing them and shooting like a rocket. It made the earth shake when they ran up the engines. What a beast.
