Title: Lockheed Electra Nameplate?
Post by: Randy Conrad on February 10, 2015, 11:58:00 PM
Ric....

To your knowledge, was the Lockheed Electra fashioned with a nameplate anywhere on the plane that would indicate its size, weight, model number, serial number, and etc. Nowadays, equipment and machinery is plated with a nameplate that shows the manufacturer, date of manufacturer, and all the rest of the details necessary for a warranty or in case a replacement is needed. Let me know...thanks!

There are 51 hits from a Google search for the term "data plate" (https://www.google.com/search?q=data+plate&sitesearch=tighar.org&gws_rd=ssl) on tighar.org.  If you browse a bit, you will even find pictures of data plates, I believe.

You will find a special Google search box (http://tighar.org/info) on the other side of the tab way up at the top of every page on this forum that says "Search TIGHAR."  All you do is put the search term in the Google box, and it searches tighar.org for you.
