Title: Sponsorship?
Post by: Jim Kirkendall on September 17, 2014, 09:04:08 AM
Has anyone approached Lockheed about the possibility of sponsoring Niku 8?  They seem to be the most obvious corporate candidate, and as such, would imagine that they have, indeed, already been contacted.  Just a thought....

Lockheed Martin was a sponsor of Niku VII ($200,000), but that was due primarily to pressure from the State Dept.  We no longer have those State Dept. connections (by choice). I want to approach Lockheed Martin again but I want to have the best ammunition possible - so Im holding off until we see how 2-2-V-1 turns out.

OK.  I'm discreetly looking into how to approach my employer.  Will keep thinking about how to get this thing done.

Let us know how that works out.  I sent a letter to the higher ups of my company,  (I work for a small airline) Basically directing them here to learn about the expedition. I havent heard anything yet.

Will do.  I work for a company that may be interested, especially if I push the early feminist aspect of the flight, for lack of a better phrase.
