Title: Question for Ric and/or Niku 6 team
Post by: Chris Johnson on June 20, 2010, 12:32:05 PM
Hi,

i know you were hopeing to excervate a 'native' fire feature in the village.  Did you manage to get around to doing this bearing in mind the recent storm damage to the village site?

We did not excavate a fire feature in the village - not because of storm damage but because it took us a full day to locate a possible candidate and it would have taken at least another full day to dig it.  We decided it wasn't worth taking that much time and effort away from the Seven Site.

Hi Ric,

I have enjoyed this Tighar site for two years, and I always seem to learn something new.  Speaking of new, do you plan to post a summary of your recent trip to Niku?  Artifacts found, test results, additional conclusions, and perhaps any new ideas?  I realize this might take time..................GOOD LUCK to you and your team.

A general summary of the expedition, reports on the many discoveries made, and requests for help in identifying specific items recovered will be forthcoming as soon as possible.
There is much to tell and much to do.
Thanks for your interest Michael.  I hope you'll consider joining TIGHAR (https://tighar.org/membernew.html)

Thanks Ric, I am going to join today as a Sponsor, I hope to renew as a Donor in the future when the economy improves a little.  Gotta watch those $$$ ya know.  Your Tighar site has provided me with plenty of excellent reading, and great food for thought. I appreciate your scientific approach to solving the AE mystery , and look forward to future news.  Where ever this journey may lead,,,,,,,mystery solved, or not.......It is exciting to be a part of it in some small way.
