Since returning from D.C. two summers ago...been really into doing research and finding new things out about Amelia and the Lockheed Electra. Many of us have been really wrapped up in our research, so much that it has become a hobby addiction. One of the things I remembered about the D.C. conference was the ability of the Electra to float. This was a good topic to discuss and to this day has become quite the question in hand. Anyway, as I was looking through old newspaper photographs and articles last evening, I ran across this article, and please Ric, let me know if you have seen this before or not! Anyway, it gives an account of a Lockheed Electra crash landing and the plane sinking within a matter of minutes. It almost tells a story to "what" might have happened with Amelia. Good discussion!!!!
