Title: The theraputic power of the Red X
Post by: Monty Fowler on September 14, 2013, 10:42:31 AM
For those forum readers who find my at times smart-alek postings an irritant, let me tell you about a marvelous, and very theraputic, feature of all TIGHAR forums - the Red X.

All of us are guilty of getting over-passionate about topics in here from time to time. How can you not help it? Especially if it's something you've invested years, or even decades, of your time in. That's human nature.

The Red X can act as a very useful safety outlet to help keep you from crossing the line that separates reasoned dissent from overt and mindless passion, by removing from the discussion those forum posters who cause you to feel that way in the first place. Using the Red X doesn't make you a weaker person by any means.  On the contrary, the Red X  empowers you to devote your all energies to moving the search for Amelia and Fred forward to its ultimate conclusion.

As someone in these forums who is far wiser than me recently said, "The Red X rules!" Indeed it does. From this point forward.

LTM,
