From time to time, people get banned from the forum by the software.
Neither Pat nor I have banned anybody.
I believe that the problem arises when people try to access the Forum before receiving and replying to the confirmation e-mail from the News section, (http://tighar.org/news) which is the first essential step in joining the Forum.
If you find yourself mysteriously locked out, let us know.
