I can't match that but my many-greats grandfather was Captain Richard Brackett who came to the Massachusetts Colony a few years later (1629) as a lad of seventeen. He later led the Braintree militia in King Phillip's War.  My father's mother was a Brackett.  She named him Richard after her famous ancestor.  I am named Richard after my father and, in turn, Captain Richard.

When I think about the hardships endured by our ancestors in previous centuries, I feel guilty about complaining about any discomfort or inconvenience.
