The time stamp (for lack of a better word) is off on my postings by 2 hours. Is this a default thing? I don't ever remember setting it when I registered. I know its not the end of the world, but how can it be fixed?

I suspect what is going on is that the "time stamp" of the TIGHAR server is keyed to a different time zone than where you are posting from. I guess I'll find out as I submit this!

OK -- that last post was "stamped" one hour ahead of where I am in California (Pacific time zone). That makes the server accurate to the Mountain time zone, which is two hours behind Cleveland (Eastern time).

Hmmmm. I suppose if it doesn't bother anybody else it shouldn't bother me...

There is a setting in your Forum user profile (which is different from the
profile accessible from http://tighar.org/news (http://tighar.org/news).
My time zone setting is +2. I'm in Eastern Daylight Time.
We'll find out if my setting is accurate when I post this ...

OK--plus two worked for me. The time stamp on the post matches the time here in Buffalo.
So the steps are:
Profile / Look and Layout Preferences / Time Offset
I don't know whether the "auto detect" option works. I may have used
it when I first set up my profile.

Fixed it, thanks for clearing it up.
