Title: steel in air frame
Post by: Craig Romig on January 05, 2015, 10:51:01 AM
According to emily suki. I think it was. She said she saw rusty metal long enough to possibly fit in the room she was in during her interview.  Is there steel in the airframe that long or longer besides the engine mounting bay/cage? I am aware of the wing  piece going through the center of fuselage.

The interview i read on the site gave me the idea of a single piece of steel going down the center of the main fuselage.

Both the landing gear and the flaps are actuated with long steel torque tubes that run from electric motors located in the center of the fuselage out into the wings.
