Ric...I was reading up on Gerald Gallagher's personal effects this evening and noticed "keys" on line 41...followed by ( in safe). Just curious to know if anyone knows anything about a safe that Gallagher might have had there on Gardner Island at the time. Would be very interesting to find out if this safe still exists?

The safe is not listed as one of GG's possessions.


I believe that the notation means that his keys have been placed in the WPHC safe.


The purpose of making the inventory was to prepare to ship all of his stuff home to his family, except for the canoes and food left on Niku.


This copy of the inventory explains where everything is: "on Gardner," "on Viti," "With Dr. Macpherson," "in safe."
