Why TIGHAR does things the way it does
« on: January 28, 2014, 06:17:29 PM »

Some may find this a gruesome example: http://news.yahoo.com/remains-55-bodies-found-near-former-florida-reform-232708887.html , but I think it highlights the benefits of being grindingly methodical, of not taking anything at face value, and of letting the scientific method be your guide. Which is how TIGHAR does things.

Because some parents would not let the state brush them off, and because a university archaeologist did things in a way that left few stones unturned, more than four dozen families may finally find out what happened to their missing children.

I hope that TIGHAR will soon be able to do the same for Amelia and Fred. They deserve no less.
