Title: Restored c-47 to be flown to France for d-day remembrance

Plane was a corporate passenger plane before being donated 8 years ago. Route is "Labrador, Greenland, Iceland, Scotland and Germany, each leg 5 ½ to 7 hours." $250K for restoration and trip.

By the way,  Ice Pilots series documented flight of two fire fighting airplanes (more directly) across Atlantic to Turkey. Even then, they had to put in extra fuel bladders. Seemed to be a modern day equivalent in some sense of what AE had to do with her electra.
