About TIGHAR

The International Group for Historic Aircraft Recovery (acronym TIGHAR, pronounced “tiger”) is the world’s leading aviation archaeological foundation. A full-time professional staff guides an international membership of researchers and supporters in the non-profit organization’s efforts to find, save, and preserve rare and historic aircraft.  More details available here on the mission and structure of the organization.

Members are the lifeblood of any organization and that’s especially true of TIGHAR. Not only does a strong membership provide a sound financial base, but member participation in research projects, training programs, and expeditions is essential to the accomplishment of TIGHAR's mission.
